Chester V. Mayo Jr., D.M.D., M.S.
Dr. Chester “Chet” Mayo was born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He received his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Virginia and his dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Following dental school, he completed a general practice residency (GPR) in Richmond, Virginia through the VCU Health System. This two-year residency, primarily based at the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center, provided him with advanced training in all facets of dentistry.
Following his GPR, he attended Oregon Health & Science University for two years where he earned his Certificate in Endodontics, as well as a Master of Science in Dentistry. Dr. Mayo is board certified and a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Tidewater Dental Association.
Dr. Chet Mayo lives in Virginia Beach with his wife and children. They love being outside and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities from paddle boarding and fishing to hiking and camping.
